National Superhero Day was created by the employees of Marvel on April 28th, 1995. On this day people celebrate by remembering their favorite “Superhero”- A mighty word that paints the picture in your mind of the person you consider as your superhero. The idea behind this day is to honor the people who served by fighting evil.
For some, it can be a fictional character from “DC or Marvel universe” like Ironman, Hulk, Thor, Batman that saved the world by fighting villains in the movies, that youngsters are head-over-heels crazy about, but for others, it can be a person from their life who inspired and protected them in the hard times like a father helping his child to fight the demons inside his head that are telling him to give up on football because he hurt his leg!
On this day, people come together to celebrate their favorite superheroes and be thankful to them no matter if they wear capes, masks or uniforms. What we can do today is:
- Watch movie of your favorite superhero.
- Thank the superheroes around you or call them- parents, teachers, mentors and anybody who you look up to.
No matter who your superhero is, remembering and honoring them on this day is what matters and makes this day worthwhile.
