This day was created and is organized by The Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute in 1982 and it marks the birthday of the creator of modern ballet, Jean-Georges Noverre. It is celebrated annually and thousands flock to the Gala by breaking the boundaries of distance or different cultures, thus inviting people all around the world to showcase their talent of dance no matter professionals or amateurs.
